Deane is the founder and CEO of DJM Advisors, providing business consulting services to both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. Deane is particularly interested in companies poised to benefit from AI and immersive technologies like Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality. He is driven by the opportunity to mentor teams, inspire innovation, and create value for stakeholders in the digital media, entertainment, education, and consumer-facing businesses.
Prior to forming DJM Advisors, Deane was the COO and CFO of Hollywoodlife.com, a celebrity news website, from 2021 to 2023. From 2015 to 2020, Deane was co-founder and COO of IMEX Media, a MusicTech platform enabling creators to produce VR, AR and XR-based music experiences. He also served as CFO of Placewise Media, a mall-based digital network, and held senior executive business roles at Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group.
